LinkedIn Connections and Brand Messaging
Forging productive, relevant connections on LinkedIn is entirely dependent on how you represent yourself and your services one-on-one. This does not have anything to do with the traditional “sales pitch” or even your personal enthusiasm for your work; it is about finding what is most likely to resonate with the person on the other end of the line (or screen!).
Conveying value and usefulness for your services without resorting to “sales-y” language should be the principal goal whenever you work on your brand’s messaging, and I have found this to be best accomplished by foregoing the marketing talk and establishing a real relationship. It may take more time, but it will be worth it!
