Christmas 1944: A President’s Message

As we approach the end of 2020, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and my business over the past twelve months and express my appreciation for all those who have worked to make the business community more collaborative, supportive, and inclusive than ever before. While there will still be many challenges for us to face in 2021, I know that we, as business owners and professionals, will emerge from this period with even greater resolve, compassion, and understanding.

Included in this video are some words that I have found particularly resonant during the holidays in years past, and I believe them to be appropriate for this year even more so than most. I have also listed them here:

“On Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Christ with prayer, feasting, and great merriment. But, most of all, we experience it in our hearts. For, more than just a day, Christmas is a state of mind. It is found throughout the year whenever faith overcomes doubt, hope conquers despair, and love triumphs over hate. It is present when men of any creed bring love and understanding to the hearts of their fellow man. The feeling is seen in the wondrous faces of children and in the hopeful eyes of the aged. It overflows the hearts of cheerful givers and the souls.”

President Roosevelt, Christmas message 1944

I would like to wish you and your loved ones a very safe, peaceful, and happy holiday season, and I look forward to sharing a new year full of opportunity and joy with you. Happy Holidays!
